The Orientation Programme for the new entrants, batch 2017-19, was held on June 15th at SKIPS – MBA College ahmedabad Campus. The session began with the invocation of Goddess Saraswati and the lighting of the lamp by the Chairman, Col. Vinod Tandon; the trustee, Mr. Vaibhav Tandon; the Director, Dr. Ram Kumar Balyan; and the Dean, Dr. Gurpreet Arora. In his address to the students, Col. Vinod Tandon gave valuable insights to the students, such as the significance of management in various aspects of life, focusing on goals, never undermining the power of hard work and the immense scope for skilled youth in today’s world. His motivating words were followed by an overview of the institute provided by the Director, Dr. Ramkumar Balyan. He highlighted the role of SKIPS in making learning meaningful and pragmatic and in grooming students for the corporate world. The students were then briefed about the teaching pedagogy, EEP Programme, code of conduct, and the placement cell at SKIPS. Post lunch was the time for some informal exchange among the students and faculties, for which ice-breaking activities like musical chairs, challengers, Australian trolley, and tug-of-war served as the perfect platform. The students enjoyed this day, which gave them a glimpse into their journey of MBA Colleges ahmedabad.
