On July 19th, to mark the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, the students at St.Kabir Insititute of Professional Studies – pgdm college in ahmedabad organised a programme for their teachers. It began with the lighting of the lamp by the Director, Dr. Ram Kumar Balyan, and the Dean, Dr. Gurpreet Singh Arora. The pgdm students felicitated their teachers by giving them gifts as a token of respect and gratitude. The junior pgdm students shared their thoughts on stage, which mainly highlighted the fact that our ‘gurus’ are an indispensable part of our lives and their contribution towards our growth can never be undermined. It was followed by the speech of the Director, who expressed his happiness about the pgdm students preserving the tradition of acknowledging their teachers’ importance. While addressing the pgdm students, Dean Sir explained the meaning of the word ‘guru’, who is someone who guides us from darkness towards light, from ignorance towards knowledge. The event was a tribute to the teachers who are the greatest contributors to our lives.
