Syllabus of CMAT Entrance Examination 

There is no specific CMAT curriculum for the MBA entrance examination defined with AICTE. Take a look! Being a student of management and planning for the entrance exam, there are some basic subjects that you need to carry, such as Data Interpretation, Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: The question of the quantitative aptitude section covers the topics of mixtures, ratios, averages, statistics, and profit & loss. There are other parts in the aptitude test, such as counting principles, probability, and number properties. Two odd questions are based on the statistics with the derivatives and geometry. 
  • Logical Reasoning: The toughest section deals with the LR section, CMAT, logical puzzles, cover statements, numerical puzzles, true/false statements, Venn diagrams, and visual reasoning topics. The practice is always a key for acing the Logical Reasoning with the CMAT section. 
  • Data Interpretation: In this section, the students have to analyze the given data for arriving at the answers to every question.   • Language Comprehension: In this section, knowledge and skills in English plays an important role. The MBA aspirants can focus on the non-finite articles, nouns, dangling modifiers, pronouns, adverbs, adjectives, syntax, tense, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions.
  • General Awareness: The extensive section of general awareness have a range of questions in conventional GK, economics GK, business GK, current affairs, etc. The questions of the current affairs are intellectual, and this is based on magazines and GK preparation.  


Exam Pattern of CMAT  

The CMAT MBA exam is computer-based, with multiple choice and MCQs questions. You need to pick the correct answers from the given choice of questions. The duration of the examination is 180 minutes and three hours. The candidates can attempt 100 questions. 

The examination follows sectional composition with some questions that have four sections: Quantitative Techniques, Language Composition, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, General Awareness, and Logical Reasoning. The number of questions and the assigned answers are based on the checking of the questions.
